Summary

This role is responsible for driving revenue in Southeast Asia by developing new business with both existing and new customers. It plays a key part in expanding HID’s business area Identification Technologies (IDT) within the assigned territories through strategic planning, business development, and sales execution. We are looking for a sales expert who preferably has experience from the RFID industry as well as experience of sales both direct to OEMs and indirect through system integrators, distributors and reseller partners. Working closely with the business development and customer service teams, the position ensures the continued growth of IDT in the region.

 

 

As our REGIONAL SALES MANAGER you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Securing & growing the business & market share for IDT’s RFID credential, RFID reader and solution portfolio in Southeast Asia
  • Acquiring new customers and developing existing customer base in the above-mentioned product segments and region
  • Driving the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact (including cold outreaches), to consulting on product offerings that meet the customer’s needs, to commitment of design-in solutions (collaborating with product management and engineering specialists as required).
  • Driving his/her own sales pipeline while keeping CRM/Salesforce up to date.
  • Working with sales and marketing management to plan and implement marketing and sales campaigns.
  • Attending and participating in tradeshows, exhibitions, as well as partner events.
  • Completing forecasts and revenue reporting by regularly scheduled deadlines.
  • Performing any other duties as deemed necessary by the Sales management.

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in business development and/or technical sales, preferably within the technology or RFID sector, with a proven track record of sales and a solid understanding of RFID technologies and the sales process.
  • Sales or technical sales degree preferable.
  • Experience of selling both direct to OEMs and indirect through system integrators, distributors, reseller partners etc.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team. Experience working effectively across various departments, such as marketing, product development, and technical teams, to drive results.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and an ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • Technical knowledge & certification to this effect would be an advantage.

 

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead presentations and establish credibility with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Must possess the ability to create presentations and write articles that conform to prescribed business style and format.
  • Must possess the ability to present information to technical managers, “C-level” management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

 

Language Skills: 

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

 

Computer Skills: 

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Familiar with CRM tools and analysis, such as Salesforce.com.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business and financial data and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Flexible and highly motivated, pro-active & self autonomous.
  • Focused on customer needs and satisfaction creating added value.
  • Very good communications skills.
  • Business minded and ability to develop and increase it.
